Running out of galaxies for this season as I see the eye-candy gas and dust is rising earlier and earlier each night...

Hi everyone and thanks so much for the replies.
It's a cheepo gso203 with a veTEC camera ~7h @ hcg100: Siril 1.3a. Colour is artistic with reduced saturation. HTH
Have to say that Ivo's svdecon leaves the ai rubbish with a lot of catching up to do:)
Cheers and clear skies,
Steve

Hi everyone
With the eye-candy gas and dust season almost upon us once more, I thought I'd have a fling at yet more galaxies in praise of ST's oh so fine SVDecon module. Pre-processed in Siril, the rest, ST 1.9.565 under Ubuntu.
Thanks for looking and clear skies.

Re: slider brightness is very bright
Hi
Yes. Agreed. The brighter the object being processed, the less obvious the sliders become. A workaround I use is to blu-tak some grease proof paper over the bottom bit of the screen to prevent the glare.
Cheers and thanks for your reply.

slider brightness is very bright
Hi Ivo, everyone
I find the bright white of the slider adjustments distracting.
Is there any possibility of making this less harsh? e.g. dark grey would be excellent.
Cheers,
Steve

Re: StarTools 1.9 Beta
Hi Steve, dunno where it comes from, but as a workaround you can try to undo the damage in the affected stars by selecting them in mask and use the 'undo fg' in the Layer module. Or blur them in the Layer module (which also can be done with an already finished image). BTW: This appears to be a star...

Re: StarTools 1.9 Beta
Hi Steve & Stefan, I just thought I had some kind of déjà vu  . You reported this issue before, Steve: https://forum.startools.org/viewtopic.php?p=14916#p14916 I’m still wondering, if this is an ST related problem or if it lies within your data set? Dunno. :confusion-shrug: No one else reporte...

Black dots in the centre of stars which happens after HDR: Happens after HDR

Any ideas/workarounds?
TIA,
Steve
**EDIT: It looks like it's present after the first OptiDev, just not as pronounced. HDR makes it more visible.

Re: StarTools 1.9 Beta
ringing around scattered super tiny stars against nebulosity. Hi Problem I've noticed that too. Have you found a workaround or set of values (maybe in shrink?) to offset the ringing? This is an example. Yes, it's enlarged beyond normal but it shows the effect I think you're describing; small stars ...
