Re: Delete very small stars

... higher, like 20. It will now start picking up only smaller features and stars. You can now start to manipulate these features and stars in other modules. That said, you might also be able to use the Isolate preset (without any particular mask) in the Life module. This also tends to push back ...

Re: Field flattener vs lens module

Thanks Ivo

That makes sense. I hadn't thought about the registration issues during stacking.

Deconvolution will also benefit from the homogeneous stellar profile that a field flattener affords. If you can spare the cash, defi...

Field flattener vs lens module

... also need to invest in a field flattener. Trying to spend as little money as possible, I was wondering if I really need this as startools lens module does something like this anyway. What do people think? Can I get away without a field flattener? Thanks Richard

Pan & Zoom Lock icon

Re: Wavelet denoise introducing dark artefacts in stars

Tried the Mask solution you mentioned, but, perhaps as this is post tracking switch off, can't get Fat Stars or Layer Module 'undo background' to perform as neither seems to be active? It's not a great problem and I fixed it in PhotoPaint quite quickly with the clone brush. Incidentally, ...

Wavelet denoise introducing dark artefacts in stars

Pretty sure I've read something about this before but can't find it at the moment. The Wavelet denoise module that's called when tracking is switched off is introducing dark patches in the center of some of my larger stars (cropped images below showing the effect). Can't remember ...
