Re: Log -> BBCode Converter
That's an absolutely brilliant idea Gordon! Happy to 'give you the keys' to whatever you might need! :obscene-drinkingcheers: Well...I'd probably just host it over on one of my places, so I could code/tweak/mod/whatever I needed to, without bothering you. Then, if it ever saw life as a useful tool ...
Re: M51
That's an excellent rendition Gordon. Color is spot on in my opinion (so glad I glad that Color module sorted out now :D ) It's showing some good depth with a good few other faint fuzzies starting to pop up - these are very, very good result from a 'mere' DSLR! I really like the framing as well - n...

Log -> BBCode Converter
Ivo, As I was creating this morning's entry into the gallery, and posting my StarTools log, it occurred to me that the log format seems to have stabilized a good bit over the last few versions, and seems fairly consistent now. That being the case, would you be agreeable to me attacking the idea of a...
M51
Finally had a night where everything came together. :) Son and i were able to get to our dark site, weather was ideal, equipment all worked well, and time was on our side. As a result, able to get some pretty solid (for me and my equipment anyway *heh*) data of M51. Unstretched 2x Drizzled TIF My re...

Default filters
Ivo, Several modules of StarTools prompt the user to create specific filters, such as a Star filter or Decon filter, using the available "Auto -> _____ -> Do" steps. Why not have these filters created by default when the user launches that module? Or, at least an option to do so? Rather than "Consid...

Re: Leo Triplet
Thanks, Ivo! Here is a second version...I like this one a bit better. A touch more detail (Especially in M66 I think) and some better color I believe. http://i.imgur.com/YEQa2Cx.jpg I THINK SN2013AM is still visible in M65. I'm restacking that area of the image with 3x drizzling as I type, and going...

Re: Caldwell 49 - The Rosette Nebula
Hi guys It would really help us newbs if you could include a quick (?) step by step how you process your images :-) Thanks Steve PS lovely image BTW Thanks, Steve! And you're right...we really should, since not doing so kinda defeats the whole point of having a gallery on the ST site, eh? For this ...
