East Veil color issue

Post by singding »

Hi,

This is an HaRGB east veil- I loaded the filed in lrgb module, keep, then saved as a .tiff and am loading it here.

I cannot seem to get colors decent. any help is appreciated!

I like the blue/red color combo that people post but for some reason, I just cannot get it to be decent. Can someone try giving it a go and let me know what I am doing wrong? Color seems to be the hardest part for me during processing.

Hi Adam,

Nice data - both this and the bubble nebula but there's an issue with the colour data. I don't know how you stacked these but there's a predominance of blue and green in both. Did you white balance during stacking? If so, startools doesn't like this. Though this is beyond my expertise - can anyone chime in?

I use an asi1600 mono with filters, I don't think I can white balance...not 100%

Should I be getting equal rgb frames? I don't know what ratio I should be getting when doing L RGB.

Thanks though, I'll try to find out what ratio to get and try again
