lasso mask with stars inverted?

Post by singding »

Hi!

Does anyone know how to create a masked area, then invert only the stars in that area? ( instead of literally clicking each pixel....lol)

There has to be a way, right?

If I think I'm understanding you - lasso an area then "keep" the mask. Go to "auto" / "stars" then selected "subtract new from old. Then invert the mask to see how well the stars were masked under your setting. I always do this when sharpening an image so I don't have to worry that all the stars in the image are perfectly protected.
