Synth to create much longer diffraction spikes

How can you use the synth module to create larger diffraction spikes? I have seen some images and the lines on the spikes seem to go out pretty far, but I have tried so many settings and am not sure if it's even possible with startools, but thought I would ask anyways

To create longer diffraction spikes, increase the Sample Size in the first screen. Be aware though that this will take longer to process. The image diameter will also have some influence on the area star light is dispersed over.

In general, try to model your desired scope as accurately as possible for the most natural results. Under most circumstances, diffraction spikes cannot be seen to extend very far.

Hope this helps,
