Achromatic refractors have come a long way since the blue fringe of death and these days are great for AP, especially with ST's deconvolution tricks. Here's what a €150 f5 can do these days:

That looks great - particularly for an achromat.

Did you use any special processing in StarTools to reduce the chromatic abberation? Like fringe killer filter add blue back to central star perhaps?

Hi. Thanks for looking. In this case, I didn't use any st special techniques. It's just nice to know that up to date refractors use just as good lenses as what 10 or so years a go would cost you a fortune. Cheers and clear skies, Steve.
