The Eagle Nebula (M16), featuring the "Pillars of Creation".

First quick bicolour process before bed (StarTools is really good at getting good results fast if you have good data!). I only have a narrow window before M16 goes behind a tree, so I am limited in the amount of imaging time. This data was captured yesterday and today, while pointing almost directly at the really bright full moon, and fighting with clouds all the way. I am sure that I will reprocess it tomorrow but I kind of like the way this quick and dirty first shot came out.
