And a nice little offering it is!
Lots of detail in there and your guiding seems to be spot-on.
Would you be able to post your worklfow? I'm thinking we can get some better color out of it - the data appears to be nice enough!

Hi Ivo,
I'd love to post the workflow but where would I find it ?
Is this saved automatically or should I have saved it? :?
The colour is not as good as I'm used to but everything else seems better. The raw images were badly compromised by LP, so I'm impressed with the result. Can't get on with AutoDev though. Gives some weird output. Probably not doing it right.
Otherwise, a great program that I'm looking forward to master (If you know what I mean).

ps. Photobucket link for original TIFF.

It should be in a file called 'StarTools.log', which is located in the folder where the executable/license key, etc. is.

Do a Wipe at the start, then get everything looking right when it comes to luminance detail (don't worry about color yet), the launch the Color module at the end before you switch Tracking off. If you weren't, then use the 1.3.5 beta. Its Color handling is much superior than 1.3.3.

AutoDev shows everything in your image. And by everything I mean *everything*. If you have bad noise, artifacts, gradients, etc, AutoDev will show them. That's why I always use it at the start after loading. Just to see any 'problems' in the image. Once you've fixed the problems (except maybe noise), then I almost always use AutoDev with a Region Of Interest over the object I'm interested in, so that that the global stretch will be optimised for exactly that object.

Thanks for that!
Was this image processed with the 1.3.5 beta or the 1.3.3 version?
If processed with 1.3.5, I'm wondering why the color module didn't dig out more color than it did...

Thought it was with Beta but can't be sure as Beta was downloaded same day as image processed.
If you do have a go with it yourself I'd love to see your workflow.
Otherwise, thanks you've been great.

Would love to have a go and see if there's more we can do in terms of colour. Could you share the data? (the link you posted earlier seems to be just a jpg showing some pre-stretched data...)

TIFF file is 70Mb.
Whats the best way of making it accessible to you?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge with such things.

Most people use some sort of on-line filesharing service like Dropbox or Google Drive (there are others out there as well if you don't like these though).
