Hi. I would share with you my last image.

Poor seeing with a lot of Shahara's dust in the atmosphere. It was captured in a dark sky place but closer of Madrid city (about 120 kms) with quality sky meter (SQM) 21,45

Lovely image!

Which version of StarTools did you use if I may ask?
Would you be able to post your log?
I'm interested to see if we can do something about the little bit of noise in the background and the comparative lack of data in the green channel...

I have found some tips about the DSS configuration and I would like to re-stack the image. And (I suppose you are tired to remind us... I will apply an autodev in the first stage of the proccessing :lol: ) I will back with the new image soon. hahahaha

I think I found the issue with the green channel; Is there any particular reason you chose; Parameter [Cap Green] set to [To Brown]?

It's best to only use the Cap Green setting if there is spurious green data in your image that you cannot correct by color balancing.

It may be worth your while to try the latest 1.4 alpha which may yield better noise reduction.

Any chance you could maybe upload the stack?

Hi. Yes, I always use the Cap Green to Brown in all my images because I think that it does a more realistic colour, I will try again without this parameter and changing the color balacing parameters. Also I will try it with 1.4. and I'll share with you the new stacked image with the parameters of this post in dss:

Hi again! Ok, I'm very happy with the new version processed with Startools 1.4.302, really I feel an improve in the noise proccesing.
The only problem that I found was in the post-wipe. If I use autodevelop a green artifact appears around the galaxy, so I used manual develop in pre-wipe and the artifact does not appear in the post-wipe manual develop. :confusion-shrug:
Certainly I was using incorrectly the cap to green option, thanks Ivo. :bow-yellow:

That's an awesome improvement - love the colors and virtual absence of noise grain! Strange about the artifact... Not sure what's going on there...
