Thanks for the explanation - I think that is what I was looking for. Thanks for the praise. I've been spending a lot of time (too much) on processing other's data. It helps when that data is really good (Eric's) but also when the data is average or less as that is what I would likely be working with with my setup. Unfortunately my prime imaging time is this time of year due to the early evenings etc. I'm not from balmy Austrailia but Canada (Winnipeg) and it's just too cold to get polar aligned and fiddle with devices that don't like the cold (nor me). I'm starting to move over to ekos from kstars which relies completely on the my laptop (which isn't affected by the cold) unlike my hand controller (celestron avx) which stops displaying soon after -5C.
