crash win 7 x64 noise modules

Post by AndyBooth »

Since moving to latest download version, 1.3 v 206, always crash in noise module,
at level 6/6 scale extraction.

same on different images and two different laptops.
crashes to desktop with windows error.
certainly ver 198 is ok.

Hmmm... so far nothing, even with Valgrind. Sounds eerily similar to a bug that I fixed some versions back. Will keep testing.

Hi Andy,

Still haven't been able to replicate the bug.
Would you be able to share the problematic dataset with me and perhaps the StarTools.log file?
It'd be much appreciated!

Just to close this thread,
I'm afraid the issue was due to user error!
When copying over the latest version , i forgot to copy over the resources file, and was thus using a previous one.
My apologies to Ivo for wasting his time, but great thanks for the customer service
he has displayed in trying to sort the problem :obscene-drinkingcheers:

best regards,
Andy
