I'm having really good luck with this version of the Alpha. No crashes so far on my MacBook Pro and I have gone through two processing work-flows.

This is a great improvement Ivo!

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the report! I'm getting a report from another user who is still having trouble unfortunately. Can you tell me what version of MacOSX you are running? Is it the latest Yosemite?

Appreciate it Andrew. This is so strange... The plot thickens...

I have 16GB of RAM if that helps any. Maybe the other machine is running into RAM limitations.

Hi Ivo,
I'm also running Yosemite on my iMac with 8 gig of ram, but I can't get past "Open"; only the spinning beach ball. Since Andrew and others are having success, I wonder what I can do on my end. Anything I should check, do or undo?
Thanks,
Pete

Pete, what size image files are you opening? My stacked files are around 100MB. StarTools does not open them fast.

Hi Andrew,
Actually, I can't get to select an image yet. As soon as I select "Open" (to go to my list of images) I get the spinning ball...

That is not my experience at all. I just opened a file to make sure I was using the 1.4.301 Alpha. One thing that may be different on my system is that I am using a plugin called Default Folder X. This plugin modifies the File Open dialog on the Mac.
