M45 red sky

Hello

First, hello to you all. I'm a new member and thus is my first post.

My trouble stems from trying to process a stacked image of M45 i took a few weeks ago.

The image comprises of:

120 60s lights
30 60s darks
30 60s flats
120 bias all stacked in dss (prior configured for Startools)

Sadly, light pollution was a factor, but the moon was also out and pretty bright.

After Autodev, Crop, Bin, Wipe and Autodev ( or a vaguely similar workflow) I'm met with the red background to my image, for which I have no idea to process, or what it means. If it's gradient, why doesn't Wipe do it's thing?

Can anyone offer any support, please?

Try -autodev -bin -crop- Develop -drag the slider up to suit usually 90% ish or post your file too for others to look at ,use dropbox to share .

Thanks for replying.

After another attempt, the best i can come up with is this.

Autodev in all instances seems to turn it red, so I stuck with the Develop module instead. Stretching the image as-is, after crop, bin, and wipe modules were used.

Here is the original FITS file, out of interest. Be interesting to see what someone else can acheive.

Quick dabble didnt come out too bad ,getting the star colour haven`t quite grasped yet never seem to be happy with it ,trial and error

Not a bad image considering the light pollution.

I'll attach a log file when Christmas is over... generally I like the isolate life module a lot. Try it without a mask.

Apart from a slightly different colour temp. that looks similar to my latest effort. Big thanks to all involved. :thumbsup:
