When would you decide to use Lens versus Repair or combination of both?

I've got some spacing issues on my paracorr attached to QHY168c with my f3.8 8 in Newtonian.

In other forums its mentioned that perfect binning is 3x3 star. What does that mean and how do I achieve this? In other words what do i need to do to get perfect or as close to possible binning and what should I see when I'm just there and just beyond it.

Note that I left off tickmark to prevent OSC from being converted into colour. I'm assuming based on my neophyte understanding of all of this stuff that StarTools would prefer it be received this way. new to Startools, Astap, heck Astrophotography...

Trying to get Startools cleanest most 'virgin' stacked fits from my OSC 168c. Attachment has settings used in ASTAP stacker. Would appreciate a view to see if I'm doing this correct or need to tick something else.
