Re: Astro Pixel Processor work flow for use in StarTools?

Hi Ivo, Thanks for your advice, and your concerns are duly noted! Regarding my previous issue with star colours, etc. I wonder if that RGB data may not have been the best in that case? To be fair, I haven't needed to do that for some time ..... If I have a similar problem in future I may shout out t...

Re: Astro Pixel Processor work flow for use in StarTools?

Hi Paul, Here's my attempt at the Western Veil + Pickering's Triangle - not sure if this link will show an image here (still trying to figure out how to correctly upload an image into my posts!). All done, as described, with APP and Star Tools ... https://www.dropbox.com/sh/pz78tta7xff6dw0/AAA1wZsql...

Re: Astro Pixel Processor work flow for use in StarTools?

Hi Paul, Only use APP's 'remove light pollution' on the tools menu, nothing else on that tab really benefits over what Star Tools can then subsequently offer - works for me, at least. That said, I have on occasion used APP's 'calibrate star colours' and 'combine RGB' tools when I have some data that...

Re: Astro Pixel Processor work flow for use in StarTools?

Hi there! I've not made many posts on the forum so far, so this is an opportunity for me to address that. Great advice and workflow from hixx, with a few 'exceptions' I'd like to add to the mix which might help to assist someone. Brief history - I started in astrophotography around the beginning of ...

Re: RGBHa processing advice please

Hi Ivo, Thanks for your confirmation - so this would then provide more luminance detail. Would I therefore be correct that if I wanted to bring out more Ha as red then I'd similarly blend it with the red channel instead in that case, so producing a new (enhanced) R? In other words, blending the NB w...

RGBHa processing advice please

Guys, I hope someone might be able to give me a little prod in the right direction here. I've been successfully using Star Tools throughout the last 9 months or so, for processing standard LRGB images with mono cooled camera + filters, etc. - generally getting very good results. I suppose I'm still ...

Re: 1.5.369 crashes on wipe

Hi Ivo, I fear I may have found a problem with the 1.5.369 MR1 release - first chance for me to actually use it until this morning, and I get this error message after loading subs using compose. They load OK, but when I keep and select the data type (linear, not Bayered in my case) this happens: htt...
