Re: LRGB error message.

All of my sub headers for all LRGB say "1x1" so I am guessing thats the binning?

LRGB error message.

I'm clueless. I failed to come up with an image on my first try at LRGB, so I carefully prepared a 2nd set with a new target. In APP, I separately stacked subs from L, R, G, and B and got unstretched stacks for each. I went into the compose mode of ST and selected "L/RGB". It's the only choice that ...

Re: How do I process LRGB?

I'm afraid that this first attempt for me in mono/LRGB is a bust as far as the color channels. I must have somehow scrambled the channel data in collection or stacking. The colors are all over the map and far from adjustable. I had been encouraged when I saw details in the L data that looked decent....

Re: How do I process LRGB?

However, I may be on to something here with a new style of astro/modern art. I will soon be rich.

Re: How do I process LRGB?

Well, that was a pretty spectacular failure. The image showed decent data in B&W. I don't know what happened with the RGB.
I don't know if this is an acquisition error or a processing error or both.

How do I process LRGB?

I suspect this is another dumb question. I have been using ST for OSC, and I have had decent results considering I don't yet know enough about post processing. I got a Mono camera and a set of LRGB filters. I collected the lights for all and stacked with APP. Bringing the stack to ST, I confess I di...

Re: multiple computers

I found the email that has my license attached, but it's not a file that opens without some app.

multiple computers

I want to add or move my Star Tools across the room to a better computer. When I look to download it there, all I see is a buy/demo option. Is there someplace to type in license info? On my present computer, it shows my name and address but no license number to use elsewhere. Do I need to repurchase...

Re: Preserving details in difficult Iris

Well, I am trying some new tactics, hopefully starting tonight. I am going to greatly increase the integration time on Iris. I have already worked to understand and acquire flats that are by the book. I am also going to shoot darks and dark flats. ZWO says I don't need Bias frames with their camera....
