yeah, new SVD is the main reason I'm still using ST v1.8
1.9 has good stuff, but not feeling comfortable with the lack of control of SVD

Re: Soul Nebula
Hi Stefan, No it isn't over stretched, after all this is almost 19h of data..., it simply has less aggressive use of contrast and I think that's one of the issues on why the inner part nebula gets lost. The use of Contrast module can darken too much some areas And yeah, over saturation hides details...

Re: Soul Nebula
Stefan B I think the issue here is 1- Contrast 2 - wipe. Wipe is too agressive for narrowband as it applies same values as broadband when loaded on Compose as NBaccent. What I did yesterday was playing around (while was working from home xD so, took longer than usual) just with channels and so on b...

Re: Soul Nebula
Carles may have been trying something to that effect? I will have to take a closer look later or on the weekend. One thing I'm not sure of Carles is the use of the L slot in compose. I don't see a reason for that which couldn't be accomplished identically with the exposure sliders. That's all synth...

Mono Loaded L=lenchance G=l-enchance B=l-enhanced, processed and saved as Oiii mono Loaded IR-uv cut as open only, processed quickly and saved as RGB Compose L=halpha , R=halpha G=oiii B=oiii save as H...

Re: Soul Nebula
Hi Stefan B , Thanks, I will play a bit with your data, thank you for sharing The reason I'm surprised, is because I have made last year a mosaic of 2 panes of Soul Nebula with L-extreme on my Bortle 8 sky. Folling my pre-process workflow for NarrowBand data, here's what each one looks like. Since i...

Re: Soul Nebula
Hi Stefan B Nice image! although, with 13h of L-enhance, i would have expected to see the nebula more prominent. Could you show the l-enchance file stretch even in BW ? Wonder how much signal is there in comparision of the final image. Also, you could try to stretch/process that Narrowband file as B...

Re: 3 images in progress
Mike in Rancho Right, I have tried ICE for post processing images, with OK results. Although as you mention, processing of the different parts of the stitch needs to be stretched or processed more or less equal, and that is sometimes hard to do. Other issue with Astap stitch is sometimes some dark ...

Re: 3 images in progress
Your GHS versions really make the Crescent pop out. Looks cool. But, too much? I wonder if something similar could be done with ROI and/or IFD settings, with the softer nebula clouds but sharper Crescent. Or is that too artistic? Also in both GHS - where are all the stars? :confusion-...
