Re: NGC 5128 Centaurus A Galaxy from Obs

Very beautiful image, imho. You dither after every sub..seems alot. Somebody told me 12 dithers should be enough to rule walking noise out. I start my sessions mostly with dithering after every sub but after 12 i change it too every 3 subs to save a little bit of time.

M67 in Cancer

No complicated time consuming emission nebulae this time but a fairly simple shoot of the M67 cluster. It contains about 500 stars and about 100 of them are like our sun. It is nicknamed the Cobra cluster or the Golden Eye cluster. For me it is a nice target which i always loved, also in the time i ...

Re: M42, with issues...

So it becomes even more strange. Now you see me, now you don't kind of thing..; It looks sometimes halo artifacts are introduced. The thing is i never experienced it with an 1.0 flattener either. So anyhow i must be someting with the 0.8 reducer on some occasions, the question remains , what occasio...

Re: M81/M82

Very nice , you can definately see tha Ha regions, especialy in the 'cigar'. I always forget if this is M81 or M82. I resemblens my image at time. But i needed Stefans help to get the Ha regions out.

Nice job indeed.

Re: A soso Christmas tree, cone nebulae

Well Mike, the structure is partly that way if you look at many pictures on Astrobin. This was the difficulty. The halo produces by the moon somehow got totally merged with the nebulosity. there was no way to tell where the nebulosity ended and the halo started somehow. Wipe neither DBE could solved...

A soso Christmas tree, cone nebulae

A soso picture... Culprit was the moon. She was horenduous shining, high up, far over half as i remember and far more then i bargained for.. I used a L-enhance filter but was anyway struck with some big halo forming in the stack.. I could not get it out. Wipe could not, DBE in PI neither. It...

Re: IC 434 Horsey Test

It looks better to me , Mike. To red, well the background seems a liitle reddish , then again maybe too subtle to mention. Great stars, Alnitak is extremely well controlled. It is a riddle to me that Startools on some occasions does a tremenduous job with less effort for the user. My Alnitak at the ...

Re: OK, so a Tadpoles Startools version - SHO color palet -IC 410

. For scientific purposes, I opened a picture of my backyard in Gimp. Copied it and applied a Guassian blur, then subtracted that off the original, and then took that result and added it to the original. Yep things looked "sharper," though the power wires ended up with an electrified appearance aro...
