Re: NGC 7000 / The Great Wall

Hi Dietmar,

Really cool, that's all I can say! You seem to put your duo NB to good use!

Regards
Stefan

Re: Compose question

Hi Dave, I guess you'll have to split your l-extreme stack into Ha and OIII (e.g. just load l-eNhance into red, leave green and blue empty and save...thus you isolated Ha in a separate file). Then simply load SII in red, Ha in green and OIII in blue. Then you can continue as it was a regular SHO com...

Re: Version 1.8 HDR and SV Decon

Hi Martin, Just to advise I image with a OSC 2600MC not Mono so NB Accent is of little use to my imaging and processing ( I just use dual band OSC filters L Extreme and Antlia Golden ) If you never shoot unfiltered or with a broadband filter it's really of little use for you. But with a OSC and dual...

Re: vdb 152

I will have to try this. Just LRGB? I do have Ha, but not OIII filter just yet. OIII will only help with the blue part of the emission nebula (which is outside the FOV of Astrobin's IOTD). Otherwise it's only broadband and a bit of Ha. I am still learning NINA myself, but are you using the framing ...

Re: vdb 152

By the way, this is how it can look like with a mono camera and shooting from a dark site (today's image of the day from Astrobin):

Re: vdb 152

Hi Mike, okay, got it, the emission nebula. Yes, you're right. I've already spent multiple iterations on processing the data, NBAccent among them, before getting the result I posted. NBAccent didn't really work since broadband, Ha and OIII needed different Wipes, so I splitted the data from duo NB i...

Re: vdb 152

Hi Mike! yes, I agree, dust is hard :) The red and blue looks a bit too strong maybe? Can you be more specific? Too strong in terms of color balance or saturation? In the stars, the reflection or the emission stuff? Or all of it? Color balance seems okay, judging from the histogram. Maybe the ...

Re: vdb 152

Hi Dietmar, Thanks for your kind words and your research! (I'm sorry, it's in German. But today it's easy to use Google translate or something similar.) For me, German is fine ;) If I understand correctly, it must be LBN 538. Thanks, obviously you're right! LBN...Lynds' BRIGHT nebula...Lynd must hav...

Hi everyone, since dark dusty nebulae are just awesome I tried one again although they are pretty hard to process. You have to push the signal a lot and all the little faults of your data become visible... https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/xWiW1WsjnjTT_16536x0_b9muqi8S.jpg I pointed the scop...

Re: NGC6979 Losing it's ethereal beauty when imported to Star Tools

Hi Paul, that looks like a great result - really deep! Would you mind sharing the specs like scope, camera and integration time? Would be interesting to know! Adjusting the black point is also always a challenge for me...my images tend to have a background which is too dark IMHO, but otherwise it lo...
