Re: 1.8 closed alpha feedback

First "bug" I encountered was that during sampling of the PSF Stars Startools crashed several times. Many thanks Mario, I think I have a fix for this now. A new alpha is coming later this week. I am having some issues with SVDecon module on M5 data, in particular the variable star 5 Serpentis. Many...

Re: [WANTED] 1.8 alpha test subjects!

Ivo do you have the workflow for the m33 data your showing im assuming this is the sgl data cant seem to get the red to pop using the ha accent module like your showing . Indeed that's the SGL data. In the Compose module, start off with importing L, R, G and B as usual, and import the Ha as NB Acce...

Re: [WANTED] 1.8 alpha test subjects!

Hi Ivo, thank-you for the invite. I gave the alpha a spin and came across a number of issues and a crash at the end but for a while the SVDecon was a fun explore and brought out some amazing clarity on an M5 image I am working on. How do you want to receive feedback ? This thread ? A new thread spe...

Re: NB processing help appreciated!

Hi, I didn't have any particular problems processing your dataset. Of course, just 1h per band is not very much signal, but there is enough there to show the object; NewComposite.jpg Usually, Ha is by far the strongest signal, so it is not too unexpected for the O-III and S-II signal to be weak but ...

Re: [WANTED] 1.8 alpha test subjects!

Hi all, Just an update on this, I'm targeting end of the (coming) week for this. Mother nature interfered in some rather catastrophic way with my release plans for Friday (yesterday) last week. The fiercest storm I have ever experienced in my life tore through our region on Wednesday, bringing down ...

Re: Simulate RGB image with SHO filters

When we create the S+H+O and S+H we should set the 'Luminance, Color' to 'L + Synthetic L from RGB, Mono' So we save the results as a mono file. Is that right? Thanks Guy, Indeed, you can do that for good measure (it is the 'proper way' of doing it and and it shows excellent comprehension of what y...
