I had noticed the slight green tinge to that star bottom left as well, it was subtle but there.
I decided it might have been some flare on the lens and hoped it wasn't noticeable, be interesting to read what the follow up is.
This data though was lovely to use my favourite to process.

Re: A few observations and queries
Which Nikon are you using?
There is a known problem with some and there is a detailed post about this on cloudynights. I think the posts was particularly relevant to the Nikon 5300D

Re: Fringe killer usage

Re: M101 - difficulty processing
if you used the super structure module before denoise and create a mask over your M101 you could use the dim small preset to even the background tone out, then revisit colour module and balance the colours out.

It would be lovely if the star shape mask were to grow retaining a ci...

You can split channels from a OSC file by using the compose module one channel at a time and save, repeat for the other channels.

Re: M33 HaLRGB from IKO @ SGL Forums
I think i sussed what you did Burly, it is your red image did not look like it started out as mono which it needs to be before the image is then used in compose and loaded as red when you then use layer module. I am just recreating the process for each so I can comment better. 1 - what you need to d...
