Re: 1.7.426 mask select stars not working

Hi I implemented the xorg stuff but no joy. The mask still takes forever to draw and then only completes about 1/3 of the screen without stars being selected. Afterwards, the screen becomes unstable and will not redraw properly. Moving windows becomes a pain... the only output I get from xord is: ta...

Re: 1.7.426 mask select stars not working

Thanks for your patience Ivo. I implemented the xorg config.
Unfortunately still only about 1/3 of the mask is drawn and no stars are selected.

Re: 1.7.426 mask select stars not working

changing acceleration method from SNA to UXA
How would I do that?

I've had to go back to non GPU for the current session but I'll get the dmesg from the GPU version.

Re: 1.7.424 alpha with new Wipe module

is this to be expected
Hi
My guess is that wipe should be able to flatten the colour better if you cropped the bottom edge a few pixels, but unless you post -a link to- the original file, it is just that; a guess.
Cheers and clear skies,
Steve

Re: 1.7.424 alpha with new Wipe module

Thanks Ivo
Yes, I've just discovered is that I can check the colour result too. There it's MUCH better in distinguishing pre and post wipe.
The colour thing solves it for me.

Please accept my apologies for all the noise.
Clear skies,
steve

Re: 1.7.424 alpha with new Wipe module

1.7.425 now up for download with the fixes mentioned above. Thank you for your feedback so far! Thanks for listening Ivo. Much appreciated:) i'm still finding it difficult to see what has changed between pre and post wipe. The post wipe stretch is so harsh, it obliterates any change. It isn't the s...

Re: 1.7.424 alpha with new Wipe module

Hi Ivo, everyone I'm having problems visualising the effect of the wiped versus the un-wiped image. In the new wipe, the wiped image is much brighter than the original and so is difficult to assess the effectiveness of whatever wipe has done. @Ivo, could we perhaps have a less aggressive preview str...
