Re: askar c1 and c2 filters

I assume You used a color cam and split the channels. From one stack You'll get: R= Ha and G/B = O3. From second stack You'll get: R= S2 and G/B = O3 A better way might be to do a third stack with images from both filters to increase integration time for O3= G &B channels to reduce noise Then load ...

Re: askar c1 and c2 filters

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate the time taken for your replies. You've confirmed my suspicion that leaving B out of the stack may produce a cleaner result. It gives me new hope that there is no correct or agreed way to do this stuff and that experimentation is what it's all about. Perfect. Che...

askar c1 and c2 filters

Hi everyone OSC with filters c1: Ha OIII c2: SII OIII I made two stacks and extracted the Ha and SII respectively from each using Siril. The OIII I made by combining the B and G channels from both stacks. The registered and aligned files are here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16Ga9SXegstTa...

Excellent. Our posts crossed. Same target. Great minds!

Re: m65

Hi everyone and thanks so much for the replies.

It's a cheepo gso203 with a veTEC camera ~7h @ hcg100: Siril 1.3a. Colour is artistic with reduced saturation. HTH

Have to say that Ivo's svdecon leaves the ai rubbish with a lot of catching up to do:)

Cheers and clear skies,
Steve

Hi everyone
With the eye-candy gas and dust season almost upon us once more, I thought I'd have a fling at yet more galaxies in praise of ST's oh so fine SVDecon module. Pre-processed in Siril, the rest, ST 1.9.565 under Ubuntu.
Thanks for looking and clear skies.

Re: slider brightness is very bright

Hi
Yes. Agreed. The brighter the object being processed, the less obvious the sliders become. A workaround I use is to blu-tak some grease proof paper over the bottom bit of the screen to prevent the glare.
Cheers and thanks for your reply.

slider brightness is very bright

Hi Ivo, everyone
I find the bright white of the slider adjustments distracting.
Is there any possibility of making this less harsh? e.g. dark grey would be excellent.
Cheers,
Steve
