OK, so a Tadpoles Startools version - SHO color palet -IC 410
Ok , well not 100 percent Startools but let's say 95 percent. I did the complete run through Startools. But i could not get it sharp, not sharp enough to bring out the details. So i use PI and use Starnet 2 to create a starless image, and a starimage. Then in Gimp i used Unscharp mask , that worked ...
Re: M 78
Beautiful Stefan.
As i allready mentioned, very nice starcolors. Startools is really good in that imho.
Finally we has some clear nights over Europe...giving us some slack to image, it has been ages. Sadly , it is allready over

Re: IC 434 Horsey Test
Mike, That is quite nice, imho. I really like the difraction spikes on the bright stars  , i think they add value to the picture. It could perhaps use a bit more integration time just to reveal a bit the darker clouds under the horsehead. Certainly a target i want to revisit too, allthough...

Re: NGC 7380 and surroundings
Hi Mike Yes the holes are still there, more in the background but still there. They come from starremoval , i am almost sure, i think from the PI script i used here. I must do further investigation, cause there are several parameters in the script. Still i find it acceptable, but too much enlarged i...

Re: NGC 7380 and surroundings
Mike in Rancho i made a new one. Almost completely done in Startool, i do say almost bin 50 percent stretched, wiped hdr contrast NO sharpening Deconvulation, classic Full color -SII reduce bias to 0 - Ha bias reduce to 2,98 - OIII bias reduce to 0 - Matrix : SHO 50SII+50Ha,50Ha+50OIII,100OIII entr...

Re: NGC 7380 and surroundings
I like your most recent rendition on astrobin, Freddy. When you are using star removal you are probably doing that in PI, right? Is that on linear data or already stretched? Can you then process in ST with tracking on? Regards Stefan Thanks Stefan, Yes, star removal has been done in PI on the secon...

Re: NGC 7380 and surroundings
Do you see that, too? That looks strange to me, I’ve no idea what’s causing it. Some kind of correlated noise? Grain size is much too large to be normal shot/Poisson noise. Is this already visible after stacking or does it happen later during processing? Best regards, Dietmar. I guess it comes from...

Re: NGC 7380 and surroundings
The first 'Ha' was probably meant to be 'SII', Mike? Freddy did you employ any kind of star removal here? We could be looking at the DSO redistribution system. SXT turns stars into black holes, BXT turns galaxies into stars... ;) Yes, i guess i did, allthough i honestly don't know what i di...
Re: NGC 1499
Good picture Stefan. Nice stars. The only thing i can think of is the color, of course this personal but find it too brick red, i would paint it more reddish if it is possible. But sometims it just doen not work out...There is nice detail in the nebulae, the framing is narrow...it is a big object.

Re: NGC 7380 and surroundings
Thanks Mike, Yes i used full mask in the color module but indeed i forgot a bit the different matrix mappings. Still i think the data has a lot of potential, getting in out is a challenge. I did not had the chance to take more Ha because of the weather, i only got about 11 subs of 6 minutes due to t...
