I have a dark line across my image only when I use a CCD camera. Is there an easy way to fix this in Star Tools?
I guess this is a known problem when using CCD Cameras.

Jupiter Saturn Conjuction
I took an video of the recent Jupiter Saturn Conjunction and processed a final image using Autostakkert 3. Because the two planets are different gains, Saturn is much harder to see because I did not want to overexpose Jupiter when I took the video. So I created a mask just for Saturn so I can try an...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy Challenge
Hi Ivo, I was using an ZWO ASI183MC Pro Cooled OSC camera. I did not perform any kind of color balancing prior to Star Tools all I did was to stack the subs in Pixinisght using BPP. I may try the weighted BPP for the heck of it to see if that makes any difference. I was very surprised that I did not...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy Challenge
Hi Ivo, Thanks for looking at my second image with using flats and darks. I used PixInsight BPP (Batch Pre-Processing to stack my lights, darks and flats. I did nothing to the lights no color balancing or pre-stretching. My exposures were 3 minutes using a gain of 200 for about an hour. I am attachi...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy Challenge
Ok I processed my new M31 using dark and flats and I went back to using my L-Enhance Pro (light pollution filter) and I was able to bring out more color. I was wondering if either of you would mind taking another crack at it? If you do, would you mind providing a tutorial video on the processes used...

Re: Andromeda Galaxy Challenge
Thanks for both of your input. I realize that if I took dark and flats it would of made this image a lot easier to work with. I was using a Optolong L-Enhance filter (normally used for nebulas) and forgot to put back in my L-Enhance Pro filter which is used for light pollution. I have heard from som...

Andromeda Galaxy Challenge
I am wondering if somebody could help me process my Andromeda Galaxy using Star Tools? I have had always trouble with bringing out more of the color in the galaxy. I did watch a few You Tube Videos and I have the tiff output below. I have also included the FITS file which has already been stacked. h...

Re: Processing C/2020 F3 Neowise
Ivo,
Ok I now see the artifacts on the top and on the left side and I understand the x1,x2,y1 and y2 settings.
So here is where I am after the second autodev and first wipe.
What are the next steps may I ask?
I just did a keep and I am ready for the next step(s).

Re: Processing C/2020 F3 Neowise
Ivo,
I am kind of stuck here. I did an Autodev and then a Bin @ 50%
Those values X1: 13px x2-4px Y1 39px, and Y2-4Px) are very low. They hardly include any of the image.
Do your values x1-x2 Y1 and y1-y2 get put into those four boxes before proceeding to the subsequent AutoDev?

Re: Processing C/2020 F3 Neowise
Hi Ivo,
Can you tell me the steps that you did to start the process?
Did you use AutoDev or Dev?
