I've reverted back to using GCC for Linux 64-bit instead of EKOpath. These dependencies are a bit of a headache both from a build and licensing point of view (EKOpath has just been open sourced).
The new download (1.1.91) is up.

Re: libmv.so
Scratch that - it's got nothing to do with GTK+. It's an ekopath compiler dependency. Let me fix this...

Re: libmv.so
Hi, StarTools relies on the presence of GTK+ 2.x for simple file dialog stuff. GTK+ 2.x itself relies on a number of other shared objects such as (probably) libmv.so. Static linking of all these libraries is not really an option as that would effectively require making StarTools open source in the p...

Re: Masking improvements
Thanks Ivo: That's not quite what I was looking for, but I think it could be useful in something like the Sharp function where you have the highest S/N in the center. I was thinking more of having that function available AFTER you do a mask where just stars are selected as in the Repair and Heal fu...

Re: Masking improvements
I added a circle mask generator ('Radius' option) in the Mask Auto generator. Use the threshold parameter to vary the radius. Circle radius is expressed as a percentage width or height, whichever is larger. Selecting the corners only is just a matter of clicking the invert button. You can find the f...

Re: Masking improvements
Hi Bob,
Can I ask in which cases you would use this, just so i get an idea of what to code? I'd be happy to include the functionality in 1.1, but am not entirely sure what you mean (or what you would use this for?).
Cheers,

StarTools Step by Step processing Eta Carina
Pete Scully wrote a great little tutorial on how he processed a very nice image of the Eta Carina nebula with StarTools. You can find his work at http://www.terrapins.co.za/index.html. You can find the tutorial in the PDF section of his site.

Re: Synth switch to default refractor/camera lens settings
Hi, This is a great idea! In fact, the idea of easy presets should extend to other modules as well. I've added a refractor and newtonian preset to the PSF generator in the Synth module. You can find the latest download in the usual location. Expect to find more presets in the different modules in th...

100% CPU Usage even when idle on Windows and Linux
This issue was pointed out by a demo user (thanks Trevor!) and has been fixed in 1.0.3.
