Hi,
I just downloaded 1.4.340 beta (released on 23/12/2018) and after the install, I only see a blank white screen. See screenshot.
I went back to 1.4.338 and everything works.

Re: Cyan stars, is this normal?
Hi Richard, Thanks for working on my data! Looks pretty good but I think the cyan stars are still there. My guess is that the LPS filter just messes up the color spectrum. Perhaps there are ways outside startools to overcome this problem. Can you post your log so that I can follow what you did? I'll...

Re: Cyan stars, is this normal?
Hi Richard, Thanks for having a look. This is just my first pass at working on the image. There is a lot of noise pollution and noise in the data -- that can't be helped because I live in basically a red zone. My suspicion about the cyan is that it comes from the LPS filter. But if somebody can do b...

Cyan stars, is this normal?
Hi guys, I've used Startools for a quite a while now and it's a great little program! However, I'm having some problems with color. For example my M31 photo after colorization shows cyan stars when I think it should be more white. Is there a way of getting more white stars or is this what it's suppo...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra
Hi developers, I'm really sorry to hear that it is getting so difficult to develop on Mac OS. I have used Windows, Linux (Ubuntu) and Mac OS. (I started, from the usual DOS universe, to BSD and AIX. I programmed in C++ which was still a twinkle in Bjarne Stroustrup's eye with Cfront) IMO, Windows is...
Re: M31
Hi Michel, This is my version/interpretation of m31 using StarTools. It's not that different from yours. I used most of the modules but not "life", "flux". Afterwards I did some work on the stars but I don't feel I'm usually successful here. I also binned it to 50%. There's something going on with ...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra
I wouldn't blame Apple yet. I know very well why I blame Apple and it's not just about this specific issue (they are making it harder and harder to run non-appstore software), rather many many others... ;) 1.4.326 still loads fine on 10.9.5, but the about screen says "1.4.325" (the executable has t...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra
Hi, Thanks for reporting this. Could you guys give 1.4.326 (just uploaded) a go? There is indeed a compiler flag that can be set to force a minimum version (now applied), though I've never observed this problem before. Hoping it's helped for pre-Sierra users... Yes, it works now. Although t...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra
Huh, 1.4.325 seems to work fine on OS X 10.9.5. On Sierra I had to do the xattr thing first. Apple is getting worse and worse, if they hadn't screwed up KDE and Gnome I wouldn't be using OS X for my main desktop... I wouldn't blame Apple yet. There could be a switch in the compilation process that ...
