That, Rowland, is a spectacular from your dual arm drive. I can't wait to see how you built it!

Re: Screen Stretch
Hi Mario, I know things have changed a little form StarTools 1.2. But the cool thing is that in 1.3, screen stretch is no longer needed! The reason for this is that, in 1.3, there is no distinction any more between stretched (non-linear) and unstretched (linear) data - it is completely abstracted aw...

Re: Undo function
You should add in the manual some encouragement to save often, if it's not included already. Unfortunately, saving does not save the Tracking state while Tracking is active - it merely saves the current state of the image. This 'problem' ties in with the same reason for not having multiple undo ste...

Re: Auto Color Balance
Hi Gustavo, Actually, there are a number of ways to further correct color balance in StarTools. The Wipe function should push you in the general direction, but sometimes it isn't enough. 1. The 'Sample' function in the Color module is a very versatile way to calibrate your color and lets you calibra...

Re: Help Dialogs
Hi Gustavo, Thanks for letting me know. The help texts definitely need updating for 1.3 still. 1.3 is currently in Beta (and deemed feature complete for this development cycle) but there are a lot of things that still need tweaking and fixing. This is one of them and I thank you for finding this lit...

Re: Undo function
Hi Gustavo, I hear you. The end-goal for StarTools' Tracking feature is to make every operation sequence independent, just like the global stretch is now (i.e. you can redo it at any time). 1.3 provides just a small glimpse of what's possible, but the end-game is much bigger. Once this has been acco...

Re: Image Brightness
Thanks for your reply, What I meant is, if I want to make an image "dimmer" what would be the procedure? Then the Develop module's Gamma parameter would be your weapon of choice. A gamma value that is smaller than 1.0 will dim the image. A gamma that is larger than 1.0 brightens the image. http://e...
