Re: Planetary imaging in ST
Hi Gustavo, StarTools should serve you well if you are a planetary imager. The Deconvolution tool will be of great help to you, while the Filter module and the Develop module's luminance mixer will allow you to reject UV or IR polluted luminance data while still retaining color. You will also benefi...

Re: 64-bit MacOS X support
Hi Gustavo, A MacOSX 64-bit is definitely on the agenda in the near future. The one thing holding us back right now is Apple and its de-facto requirement that MacOSX binaries are compiled on a MacOSX computer. StarTools is a not-for-profit passion project endeavor (making a loss), so we really have ...

Re: dust bunnies
Simple? No. Possible? Absolutely :) The new Heal module in 1.3 was partly designed for this task. What you will want to do is put the the bunny in a mask. Then run the Heal module and set the 'New must be darker than' value to a percentage that approach the brightness of background level (it may be ...

Re: Image Brightness
Hi Gustavo, Thanks for your question. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'brightness', but if you mean stretching, then this can be achieved by using the Develop module or the Auto Develop modules. Changing contrast and brightness in traditional image processing suites like PhotoShop or The GIMP...

Re: Stretched/unstretched and Wipe
Hi Mike,
It sounds like you've stumbled on a bug (that's why 1.3 is still considered in alpha). I'll fix this asap. Thanks for reporting this.

Re: Masks
I have gone back to the latest Alpha with Track and tried some of the images again to see where my earlier problems actually occurred. When I first load my 95mb image I choose track. The screen goes light and I see an indication "StarTools Not Responding". However, I wait a bit and everything is ok...
