Re: 1.7.424 alpha with new Wipe module (M31 question)

M31_2.jpg Guess i got it out..took about an hour with trial and error. I also reduced the starfield a bit, needed a mask for both M31 and M101, to keep untouched, otherwise i lost too much detail. Trouble is for very cluttered starfields this seems really difficult. In this case it worked pretty we...

Re: 1.7.424 alpha with new Wipe module

is this to be expected Hi My guess is that wipe should be able to flatten the colour better if you cropped the bottom edge a few pixels, but unless you post -a link to- the original file, it is just that; a guess. Cheers and clear skies, Steve Indeed there were quite some stacking artifacts , still...

Re: Use of autodev and dev

Yes i crop and wipe. But meanwhile i think i figured it out, I have to use the second option when you load an image , linear bayered etc...not just linear If i then autodev, i get a black and white image , but thisone shows me actually the defects, like gradients or edge distortions. After cropping ...

Re: Low-cost GPU solution (current as of late 2020)

Great info, I will try out ST 1.7, because my old computer has a GPU. Yesterday i tested ST 1.6 and GPU remained pretty much in an iddle state. I will replace my current setup because it belongs to my son and allthough not that bad it is over 7 years old, but still rather powerfull. Off course syste...
