NGC 7380 and surroundings
Hi guys, My first SHO...to be blunt i kinda like it, but still i am very unsure about it. It is a child from ST and PI. i went throught the whole flow in Startools but it came out rather green and stars too blue. So seperated stars and nebulae and adjusted the colors for a better fit and diminished ...

Re: M33 LRGBHa
Looks pretty good  , Mike, especially colorwise i think..allthough , i would stretch if further or it needs some more integration time dunno. Sofar, i never tried M33. I don't feel attracted to it for some reason, maybe because it seems rather dim and it has that strange oval shape. i alwa...

Re: Soul Nebula (+ more fretting about duoband colors!)
Yes, Ron I think you are on the right track. Off course you will have to experiment to find out how things work a little bit in GIMP. I only use it for adjusting some coloring, hue, saturation and stuff like that. I also experienced that is you don't have something descent out of Startools, GIMP wil...

Re: Soul Nebula (+ more fretting about duoband colors!)
Hi Ron, Here is a first trial. i made some mistakes doing. The stars are less good and i left too many out, resulting in a right Soul part that should have still the stars in... Anyway To get the blue in, is actually not difficult. In Gimp : Curves histogram, green curve, lower it. The blue should a...

Re: NGC 2070 Tarantula Nebula Final SHO image
Absolutely marvels, all of them. I think i prefer the blue/reddish the most...but maybe only today, tomorrow i might choose another one :D I am sitting here and waiting for clear skies to come, but when will that be....cause i want to make my first SHO too...i just bought the filters and have the mo...

Re: true colour in globular clusters
That is a very weird result, i must admit. I imaged a couple of Messier globular clusters and i never had an issue with color getting out of Startools.
Did you use any filters perhaps. What cam did you use and scope?

Re: Adding RGB Stars to SHO image
I am experimenting with this also...i still don't know what the best method is. I noticed that making a starmask to separate the stars produces not fine stars imho. Unless i overlook something. I tried yesterday a new approach , made a starless image of the nebulae duoband stack, substracted thatone...
