unnatural stars after repair
Hi Ivo, everyone
Repair works great but leaves sharp edged stars. There was once a post/tutorial as to how to restore a more natural look after using repair -using the Layers module I think, but I can't find it.
Anyone?
Cheers and clear skies,
Steve

Re: CLS filter colour balance
Hi Ivo Yes, that confirms what I'm experiencing. The point is that with the cheap and cheerful moon and skyglow filter, ST did a great job of colour balance out of the box. Now I've got this inline cls thing, it' doesn't do so well. The reason why I want the cls is that it gives me much longer light...

I'm getting a cyan cast and/or maybe too much red... Any tips for curing this? Here's an example of an image of m101:

decon progress slider
Hi Ivo, everyone
For those of us on slow computers, any chance of a progress bar for Deconvolution? Never sure whether to take the long walk along to the kitchen and grab another beer, or sit and wait!
TIA and clear skies,
Steve

ic443 the jellyfish
It was StarTools' masks to the rescue with this one. It reminds me of an orange Alnitak and just as hard to control, except it's marine rather than terrestrial subject matter. Having read the horror stories surrounding fast cheap Chinese reflectors, it came as a pleasant surprise to have a go with t...

colour after denoise
Hi everyone
I find the automatic colour module -before denoise- works great. After however, I find it difficult to get the same effect -clicking on a star rarely produces the same results after as before.
I wonder why it behaves differently afterwards...
Anyone?

fat stars mask after denoise
Hi everyone After a denoise: mask > auto > fat stars isn't available. Entering similar values copied from fat stars before into: mask > auto > stars after tracking has been turned off does not produce the same mask. I can get around this by saving the fat stars mask from before denoise. I wonder if ...
