Re: Mosaics+calibration frames+stitching+StarTools: How?

...which was exactly what I wanted to know. Calibration frames taken for each panel every night. Thanks for clarifying - as I said I'm a newbie. Thanks for the stitching workflow. Very much appreciated :bow-yellow: Some examples with this workflow https://www.instagram.com/p/Cj3nVubLoyr/ https://ww...

Re: Mosaics+calibration frames+stitching+StarTools: How?

Hi, I don't see the problem with flats. If there were taken on different imaging sessions, the flats should've have been taken as well on each session. Besides, what I do for stitching is stack each pane separately, open in Startools, autodev, crop stacking artifacts then save the linear data. And a...

Re: StarTools 1.9 Beta

Hi all, The first 1.9 beta is now available. If you've been following along with the 1.9 preview thread, there should not be too many new surprises. But if you haven't, then please have a look at the CHANGELOG file, which should list the many improvements. Again, many thanks to hixx decay and Carle...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview

Thanks for the update, admin indeed, the speed works good, thank you for brining back some controls. Althought the mask leaves out some big stars that are impossible to get rid of the ringing effect. What Still like from 1,8 SVD is the ability to change sample size, that can have a big impact depend...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview

Yeah Carles, the new SVD and deringing regime can be a bit finicky, dare I say tempermental? ;) Your shadowing is really shifted though, which kind of points towards a bad sample. Were you loading PSF's at all? I actually ran across that little snafu tonight after a restack that was very very simil...

but in some bright stars creats this artifact Hi Carles, this looks a bit like the artefacts we discussed a few days or weeks ago: https://forum.startools.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2821&p=14291&hilit=centroid#p14291 (There have been some more posts regarding this issue in the "StarTools 1.9 preview" ...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview

admin Thanks Ivo, indeed the new 1,9 decon did get my datasets stars :) both from the old QHY8L and the planetary camera also. It gets a bit slower than previous though specially when showing the selected mask and beetween selecting the samples. But result seems good but in some bright stars creats...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview

Ok here's a weird one. If you enter Wipe with a custom mask already set, everything goes kaboom. Seems fine if you create the mask once in Wipe, though. Does that still happen in this version? https://download.startools.org/StarTools_1_9_549_1_alpha.zip Many processes seem faster, but still...
