Many processes seem faster, but still, I'd like some more flexibility on Decon module. For my datasets, 1.9 decon grabs only noise, no stars.
So for now I'll stick to 1,8.

Sounds great, @admin !
Sorry I am a little behind on the Spanish translastion, been busier lately!
Nice set of improvements there, specially offloading more work to GPU seems interesting too
Clear skies!

Re: Choice between two PC's to use with Star Tools
Ryzen and RTX3050Ti all the way! As for RAM, 32GB would help a lot over 16GB. More is always better, and if you'd run something like Linux (probably the best and most robust platform for super heavy apps like ST) you can put the /tmp folder on a RAM disk (if you have it to spare), which ...

Re: Choice between two PC's to use with Star Tools
Thanks to both of you! Don't know if 32 GB RAM is in the cards. 16 GB is already definitely a improvement compared to my 8GB RAM/500GB HDD laptop with internal gpu... Regards Stefan Most laptops would support 32GB, and many also 64GB. So RAM is something you can upgrade in the future if you feel th...

Re: Choice between two PC's to use with Star Tools
Similar question here...I'll probably put my 8 year old laptop to rest (or use it as an imaging PC outside at the scope) and want to replace it. There's the opportunity to get my hands on one of two laptops with the following specs: 1) AMD Ryzen™ 7 5700U Octa-Core 1,80 GHz 16 GB, DDR4 SDRAM 1 TB SS...

Re: Please critique my M13
Hi Charles, That's a great result, thanks, and now I see it side-by-side with mine I can see the touch of purple around my core. Any chance you could share your log so I can precisely see the processing differences? Ed Hi Eddie, Thank you :) sure, I've uploaded here. https://mega.nz/file/ls0gBQ7Q#6...

Re: Please critique my M13
Hello : ) it is actually a very nice result! If I had to critisize anything wouold be the core colour that seems rather "purple" and with some greens too... I had a go at your data, and yeah I had to use high aggressivity on Wipe cuz background noise This is my rendition of the data : ) Tried to bal...
