Re: Compose Module Use
You are right - setting the 'Luminance, Color' to 'RGB, RGB' would ignore the L channel - not what we were after.
I've made the correction.
Thanks for watching my back

Re: Special Techniques Index
Thanks Jochen, thats great!
How do you want me to link these to these techniques? Should I just refer to the above post or should I put them in the 'Special Techniques' section of the appropriate 'Module Use' post?

Special Techniques Index
There are a number of special techniques described in the 'Module Use' posts in the User Notes forum. These have been gathered from a number of different sources including many from this forum. I thought it might be useful to have a table of these. The links in the table take you to the related 'Mod...

Re: Why is Filmdev recommended when using the Layers module
Jochen is right. The preference for FilmDev was related to this specific technique. This technique was taken from a video: StarTools: M42 H-alpha High Dynamic Range composite . This uses StarTools version 1.3.200RC so is very old - but the approach still works. In those days there were no X/Y slider...

Re: Spatially Variant PSF Deconvolution (SVDecon) Module Use (v1.8)
Perhaps Ivo will tell us how the masks are created. The Apodization Mask also acts as a guide for the deringing algorithm. I think you can block deconvolution of individual stars selectively just by removing them from the apodization mask. If you sample one or more stars then the atmospheric PSF Mod...

Re: Spatially Variant PSF Deconvolution (SVDecon) Module Use (v1.8)
Hi, I was just about to post my reply when I saw Jochen's response. This is how I understand the use of the Apodization mask. I'm sure Ivo will respond if I've misunderstood. Does the ApodMask button create a different star mask than the regular Mask button? Jochen is right in that there is a differ...
