Re: White pixels in decon
Many thanks for this! Will try to replicate the issue. Definitely! It should be as simple as choosing the 'None' radio button under Compression in the save dialog (and be sure to choose Embed adjustments, rather than apply). I was actually asking about the auto-generated autosave.tif. I don't trust...

Re: White pixels in decon
Hmm, I tried cropping the image to an area where this appears, and process that, but it doesn't happen. So I guess you'll have to go with my full image: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1c3jz2L9HfgNXQ2RnhqLXBmYzQ Simple steps: --- Auto Develop Parameter [Ignore Fine Detail <] set to [Off] Paramete...

White pixels in decon
Ivo, I remember you working on this previously, but about half the time I try the decon module I still get some random white pixels created (fewer than previous versions, but they are not gone). Playing with the radius and perhaps moving the other slider to "noisier" might fix it, but usually not wh...

Re: Still lost after 3 clicks
Hi Che, First of all thanks for taking time for processing my data. With this workflow I perhaps will understand a bit more whats happening when you change a setting. The time for de subs is 167 seconds @ F5.6 280mm 3200 ISO and I used a CLS clip in filter. There were twice as much subs but on a nu...

Re: Processing mono
The specifics are that it is a QHY5L-II mono, I used Firecapture at 16bit mode, gain set to 60, saving in SER. I tried two targets as a test, this one is the one with the most exposures, but DSS did not recognize enough stars (even at very low threshold), it was too dark, so I calibrated through PIP...

Re: NGC7000 + IC5070 suggestions?
There are some (very conservative) examples on this page ; For example; http://startools.prod.kfsres.1stba.se/modules/color/35a7df69-d8e2-42e5-94e5-83a9cec607ed.jpg Stars don't magically lose their color in a star cluster. But so many astrophotographers show this in their images. :( Eh, in that pag...

Processing mono
So, I've been happy with processing my DSLR images with ST and I think I know the basics reasonably well, so when I tried using my mono planetary camera and a reducer with a deep space target as a test, I thought I'd do similar processing in ST to see what I can get. I am not happy with the result, ...

Preview not updating in final noise reduction.
When I change settings in the final de-noise screen, the preview gets "stuck" until I either select a different preview rectangle or switch between preview rectangle and full preview. On a run yesterday it seemed most controls were "stuck", while today when I thought of taking a video the Read Noise...
