Hi Ivo,
I had aonther go at the blue channel and used layer instead of lrgb.
I then had to go back to stretch after final denoise but at least got some colours back.

Re: Hubble Space Telescope IC 434 repro
Hi Ivo, I have managed to get 1100nm and the 1600nm processed but when I combine them using either layer or LRGB the colour is awful. As separate images they look fine and the detail is extraordinary but no matter how I adjust things in the colour module they look very dull. Any news on when the vid...

Re: Combine 450D and 600D light frames ?
Hi, Makes total sense! StarTools currently doesn't handle compositing image sources that are of a different size (2x2 binned sources excepted) - this is more of a pre-processing thing, so you'll need some other way to match the size and align the data sources before they can be imported into StarTo...

Combine 450D and 600D light frames ?
Hi, I have a new setup that I hope is going to work out for imaging. So I have 2 scopes that have the same focal length (400mm f5) one is ed and the other an achro. On the ed I will have a 600D with a CLS CCD clip filter and on the achro a modded 450D with a 12 Nm Ha CCD clip filter. These will both...

New mask brush tool
Love the programme but have found making a mask can be a pain at times. Could we get, along with the other options, an on/off brush of variable size, as when doing say a repair on a galaxy image, the auto star mask thinks bright areas in the galactic arms are stars. The only way I can see at the mom...

Re: M101 noise problem
Thanks for the quick reply Ivo. What an inspiration to other software developers. As I said in the intro I will keep the unmodded 600D for galaxies in the future and leave the modded 400D for nebula work. I used the life module, for the shot I got over the weekend below, which caught a bi...

M101 noise problem
Hi All Well here we have my attempt at M101 following the M8 tutorial. M101_new_a.jpg As you can see there is a lot of noise giving the whole thing a red cast and looks a bit like an HDR photo. :confusion-shrug: I am beginning to think I should use the unmodded 600D on galaxies and leave the modded ...
