Re: NGC 1333

This one is regular StarTools processing workflow, leaving it as Scientific in color, to me it oversaturates, it is good to get a baseline for White balance, but to me better move it to Artistic and perhaps saturate. This one is Artistic, no Decon No Sharp... Just open, autodev, Contrast, HDR , col...

Re: 3 images in progress

Hi Ron, Thank you for sharing your stack. How did you split Oiii and Halpha? Siril or Startools compose method? Either way, i'm having it very difficult to make the soap nebula to stand out...even with 18h. Do you have many LED in your area? The Oiii signal is sort of week and noisy. I have processe...

Re: 3 images in progress

I tried processing the extracted Ha / Oiii as separate mono images then Compose - and I don't think it looked much, if any, different from the basic bicolor version I posted above. [oh wait - I didn't use Ha as L, just syn-L, will try again tomorrow] As long as I had the separated channels, I used ...

Re: NGC 1333

Hi Stefan,

you should try adding some "dark anomaly filter" on Wipe. There's a lot of signal there.

Re: Save files as .fit or .tiff 32bits

Hi, Well, actually the problem is not really my PC, I have an Intel core i7-3770 CPU with 16Gb of RAM. I don't always have enough free time during a day to completely finish processing an image, work, family, etc. require time too. Regards, OK, I'm asking because depending on the size of your datas...

Re: Save files as .fit or .tiff 32bits

Hello Juan,

Even if you could it wouldn't matter as tracking would be lost as soon as you close startools.

Why does it take you days ? PC performance? Mosaic?

What are your system/computer specs ?
