Here are some notes relating to using this module. It is not the only way to use the module - please experiment and provide feedback. They relate to StarTools version 1.8.515 and later Please let me know if anyone sees any errors or has any additional advice they think helpful so this post can be i...

Re: Utility to replay StarTools sessions
Hi, I have looked into supporting macOS in the same way as Linux - by using mono. However, the show-stopper (for now) was that mono supports macOS version 10.9 (Maverick) and above but is not fully supported on v10.18 (Catalina) and later. Catalina does not support 32-bit applications and mono 64-bi...

Re: HDR module in 1.8.515 Public Alpha is extremely slow
I've done some quick performance tests and the time for HDR to complete processing as related to Context Size is as follows: Context Size 50 40 30 25 20 10 %Processing time 100 50 15 6 4 2 So it is possible to get the processing down significantly by relatively small changes in Context Size. Which b...

Re: HDR module in 1.8.515 Public Alpha is extremely slow
Hi, I've done some performance tests which hopefully will help. I used STReplay and ran one of the demo sessions in a couple of environments to compare performance of the new HDR module on a version of STReplay (which is still being tested and not yet publicly available). Now STReplay does not try t...

Re: Utility to replay StarTools sessions
With some great support from Ivo I now have a version of STReplay that works with the SVDecon and NBAccent modules in StarTools v1.8.
I am looking for people to help test these modules using STReplay.
If you are interested please send me a PM.
Thanks,
Guy

Re: Combining OSC with Red only (Ha) from L-extreme
Thanks for reminding me of this - and also the improved control gained by using the Layer Module towards the end of the processing to blend the images. So that makes three different approaches to combine narrowband data with visual spectrum datasets :- add it to luminance; add it to R, G, or B as ap...

Re: Combining OSC with Red only (Ha) from L-extreme
I'll answer the first question with regards to the Compose Module Use notes is concerned. So, based on the discussion, does this mean that the Ha + R technique in the ST manual and notes should not include putting the OSC file into L for that final compose? Seems so? And in order to get what I think...
