Re: Wipe and very faint backgroud gradients
Thanks a lot Ivo, it was I supposed. Really wipe does a very good work removing gradients. In this procedure Rogelio apply a different weight to the gradient mask, do you plan add this feature in future versions of startools? About your suggestion, applying a invert mask before a wipe we can select ...

Wipe and very faint backgroud gradients
Rogelio Bernal, a great astrophotographer know for a lot of us, shared a removal gradient tutorial in his web. http://www.deepskycolors.com/archivo/2010/05/28/removing-gradients-while-preserving-ve.html I would like to know if it is possible with startools make a wipe processing similar to this DBE ...

Re: M6, and question about star's core
Second attempt... white stars core seems to be related to oversaturation in color module. Mea culpa. :-) http://astrob.in/193781/B/rawthumb/gallery/get.jpg ----------------------------------------------------------- StarTools 1.4.302 Mon Jul 13 16:46:36 2015 ----------------------------------...

M6, and question about star's core
Hi all. This is my last picture of M6, Butterfly cluster with a dark south horizon (this object is only 17º max altitute from my location) I would like to improve the white core in the fat stars (more aggresive in red star of the cluster). I tried magic module with shrink core option but it doesn't ...

Barnard's "E"
Hi all! This is my first black nebula, Barnard's "E": http://astrob.in/187249/0/rawthumb/gallery/get.jpg I need to adjust the green chanel in Photoshop later to reduce it. File loaded [C:\Users\Rober\Desktop\barnard\barnard.FTS]. --- --- Bin Parameter [Scale] set to [(scale/noise reduct...

Re: Processing Globular Clusters
Hi. Globular clusters are very dificult for me too. I use the following trick when I process images with bright stars. In colour and noise module, I apply an inverse mask to fat stars. It prevents green cores in fat stars and works for me.
Regards.

Re: M51 Galaxy
Hi again! Ok, I'm very happy with the new version processed with Startools 1.4.302, really I feel an improve in the noise proccesing. The only problem that I found was in the post-wipe. If I use autodevelop a green artifact appears around the galaxy, so I used manual develop in pre-wipe and the arti...
