Re: astro pixel processor
Wow Rowland, thank you To me, the "added value" of splitting + recombining is clear, now I used not to touch saturate param because ... I don't know!! most probably because I'm lazy :-) But now that I saw an image with higher saturation I think I'm going to use it ... and to be effective I will use ...

Re: heavy denoise creates strange artifacts
thank you Ivo, I always try to avoid increasing grain size too much because - as you said - the image becomes blurry, but in case of heavy noise reduction for layer module usage I will work on grain size, thanks!

Re: Autodev: save ROI rectangle as well?
thank you!!
I often replay many times my workflow to tweak module settings here and there (last time: 6 times!) and I was forced to use Develop instead of Autodev because I was not able to reproduce this module operation properly unless I picked no roi

Re: astro pixel processor
Reopening this thread because I followed the Rowland workflow on a different subject, also I tried to work with the Scott Rosens (http://forum.startools.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1149) method. First, I did my "best" with the workflow I'm used to. Then I attempted the Scott Rosen workflow but the resu...

heavy denoise creates strange artifacts
Hello, I was following the Scott Rosen method to post process M31 data when I encountered an old problem: when attempting to make heavy denoise in the RGB part of the image, things turn to purple here an example: heavy denoise con palle viola forum.jpg there is a trick to avoid this (and I'd like to...

Autodev: save ROI rectangle as well?
Hi,
this would be very useful when trying to reproduce someone else steps (as well mine when redoing everything just to change a few params)

Re: astro pixel processor
Richard thank you your post processing is really good, I'm quite impressed because to have such faint details I had to mix RGB with HA I'm sorry I have to try everything by myself, had to reinstall everything for work in the last two days, I'll try in a few days btw, this thread is a goldmine, thank...

Re: astro pixel processor
Hi Rowland, don't worry, I appreciate any comment that might lead to a better practice! Flats are my current weak point, I still have problems: my last picture (soon will be on Gallery) showed a checkered pattern (with dithering, this time I'm sure!) and after making different stacking tests I found...
