Re: idass D2 filter question

Yes Ivo the latter case , I would image the G2V hip 56948 a G5 class star separate for Wb without D2 filter in train and platesolve image on astrometry.net to confirm correct star identification then process the file noting the parameters in colour module once sample taken .

Re: idass D2 filter question

Ivo just a question , is it possible to image a 2gv star on the night of imaging, i have identified a star that is cicumpolar and use that during processing to use as white calibration.

Re: idass D2 filter question

Thanks Ivo once uk skies ever clear I will have a stab at that and post the results or problems ,i assume i choose L,rgb mode ivo is that correct ,so i would take luminance data from subs taken with D2 and rgb from data without the filter in place .

So a few more nights data now at 5hrs 48 min signal looks like it is getting stronger ,though i found rgb cielab luminance retention algorithm gave a better look than the default ,also on the screen shot you can see the smaller stars look orange though once final denoise this was not visible and loo...

Re: Frustrated...going backwards

Re flats I use a light panel ,I noted what the exposure should be using A mode then in APT set a plan up with that setting , re settings on camera i just made sure everything was switched off in menu settings .

Re: colour - startools 1.6 Alpha

Thanks ivo I’ve seem to have got there in the end I may be over optimistic with only 2hrs of data though I’m quite pleased with the initial result and certainly less noisy than the 1000D .
