Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra

Hi developers, I assume that the Apple developers have complained. If not, please do! The bad thing about Apple is that they don't care what anyone says, neither their users (who don't really object to anything) nor developers. They are ridiculously slow at fixing even obvious and well reported bug...

Re: Eliminating white balancing when using DSS

Interesting indeed. The AutosaveTIFF stack indeed shows less faint detail., however shows some improved stellar profiles. What stacking algorithm was used for this? It is as though the AutosaveTIFF stack had more samples rejected than the AutosaveRAW stack... Kappa sigma was used for all. D...

Re: Eliminating white balancing when using DSS

Ivo, thanks for the detailed explanation. Ecuador, thanks for posting the data. I'm interested in seeing the differences. Can you say the dcraw command line you used to convert from RAW to TIFFs? Also, the latest version of DSS I can find is 3.3.4 (which as I understand it just 3.3.2 with updated D...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra

Hi Ecuador, Since I'm not a developer, I can't really support or diss Apple. However, I see from your signature that you are the author of Polar Scope Align for IOS. Just to let you know, great job on that app. I use it to align my ZEQ25, which really helps a lot rather than to use the hand control...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra

I wouldn't blame Apple yet. I know very well why I blame Apple and it's not just about this specific issue (they are making it harder and harder to run non-appstore software), rather many many others... ;) 1.4.326 still loads fine on 10.9.5, but the about screen says "1.4.325" (the executable has t...

Re: Eliminating white balancing when using DSS

I did the test. I had DSS process RAW and then used the result as "already whitebalanced" with ST, then processed the exact same set, with the same settings from the DCRAW-converted TIFF and processed that as "not whitebalanced" on ST. There is no way I can get as good a result as I get with the RAW...

Re: 1.4.325 only runs on Mac OS X Sierra

Huh, 1.4.325 seems to work fine on OS X 10.9.5. On Sierra I had to do the xattr thing first.
Apple is getting worse and worse, if they hadn't screwed up KDE and Gnome I wouldn't be using OS X for my main desktop...

Ah! I'd never tried the "Restore" button before. That's useful and it solves this particular issue as well - thanks!

Re: Wipe module - editing mask

No, I am not talking about something the dark anomaly filter can handle. I am talking about the classic dust spec that gives you a halo with wipe and you exclude it using Lasso. But it is often only visible after wipe has done its magic, so it is hard to lasso it out in the mask editor since it reve...
