Difficulty in posting private message
Well folks I didn't want this to be available to the general members, but I'm at wits end literally. My initial intent was to ask Ivo privately, but evidently I'm not smart enough to figure out how to do so at this time. You see I had a stroke about a year ago, and have forgotten many simple things ...

Re: Image submissions
Well I've had little time to get out and image.
Here is my best attempt at Jupiter taken at the end of June 2019.
Celestron 700 Mak
2X Barlow
Mallincam DS2.3 Plus Color Video Camera
1000 frames from the recorded .SER file, and stacked using Siril on Linux

Re: Issues with dark spots in a Lunar on Ver. 1.5
Ivo, I don't know if you recall, but I'm the guy who had a stroke last year. Thank you for your reply, I believe that the dark spots on the maria is something I forgot. In essence you were quite right. I am sorry to have troubled you with the non-issue. I don't get out much, but I do enjoy it when I...

Issues with dark spots in a Lunar on Ver. 1.5
I recently upgraded to StarTools Ver. 1.5. I decided to take a file I had processed on Ver. 1.4 just to see what might be new and improved under Ver. 1.5. I had unsatisfactory results in a near full moon image I had successfully processed under Ver. 1.4. I ended up with dark spots in the center of t...

Multiple windows for doconv & sharp
Hi Ivo, I was thinking today while working on Deconv & Sharp on a Jupiter image I took the other night. You know, since the scale of the Planets is small relatively speaking, I was wondering if those screens could have multiple small screens. For instance 1 main window, and four others, upon enterin...

Planetary Video Imaging
I'm still mucking about with trying to obtain a good image of Jupiter. I still haven't, but have run into an issue which I wonder if anyone else has encountered. I took a video of 2000 frames in a .ser file. Then I used Siril to convert the video to individual .fit images. I manually cleaned up the ...

Re: Orion Nebula first Deep Space attempt
Thanks Happy-kat You would think that a 70 year old wouldn't get too excited about things. I did though, I never did noise reduction. I did find that out, and I posted the noise reduced version on my personal website. I don't want to waste Ivo's server space with too much of my junk. I think I did a...

Orion Nebula first Deep Space attempt
Well, by the standards of the others whose work I've seen here, my first attempt is underwhelming. We've had so much rain and cloud here that I took a chance and took my FSQ-106 out and shot fifteen 5 second frames of the Orion Nebula. Stacked using Siril and then processed with StarTools. At least ...

Re: Interface Tweaks Part 2
If I want to specifically save a process exercise I copy it by hand from the log file to a txt file in the processed file destination folder. The log file is easy to search in and is what I do if wanting to see how I did something last month/year etc. Thank you for the reply happy-kat. I'm aware of...

Interface Tweaks Part 2
Hi Ivo, As with my first feature request, this isn't earth shattering, I'll let you decide if it is worth your time, and that of the community. I think it would be beneficial when starting StarTools if the logfile were cleared. Then when you save your processed image, StarTools would also copy the l...
