Understanding the Wipe module

Hi all Sorry for all the questions. Just trying to understand the Wipe module (I've read the documentation, and I never understand it :) I prefer videos!) First of all, I THINK I simply don't have enough integration time on the final picture below. If that's the case, that's fine. I can work on that...

Re: Editing a blend of multiple exposures

well that's what I was told, anyway :) I have taken flats since, and haven't noticed anything but I'll definitely be inspecting them every time I take them for the next few sessions. Anyway, I have since abandoned this project. I just can't get rid of weird light gradients in the image even when I s...

Re: Editing a blend of multiple exposures

Just a note on that issue I’ve been having issues with flats a bit like yours but inverted to yours so clear in the middle of image cloudy on the outside , finally last night I seem to have cracked the issue , I dither so take flats and bias and use bias as darks, but after experimenting what fixed...

Re: Editing a blend of multiple exposures

hmmm... you're right, Ivo. I tested it without flats and besides being a noisy mess (just lights) after stretching, there was no issue like above. So I had a look at my flats in ASTAP... and saw this for a batch of 40 I took on night 1. https://i.imgur.com/2A2luQP.png Wow. Okay, will chat with the N...

Editing a blend of multiple exposures

Re: Colour Help!

haha thanks for your kind words! But a total beginner. This is my 3rd image ever, and the first from a cooled astro cam. Trying to learn as much as possible, but there's so much to take in. Looking forward to your upcoming changes. Love this product! It makes the process easier to understand than mo...

Re: Colour Help!

holy moley, you're right... I cropped, and then got this as the default in legacy mode. Wow

I honestly couldn't see any stacking artefacts when I stretched the first time. Besides the one pixel border, how did you see the aberrant pixel column? I must be blind.

Re: Colour Help!

thanks for your post on the bi-color editing tutorial as well. I'd like to just nail this basic one first before I move onto that!
