Re: Banding
Hi
As the same can be seen on a processed image in PI it is not a bug with software.
Are you dithering (when you take the images)?
Working backwards has any kit changed since the last good images taken?
Has the mount changed?
Have you started guiding?
Have you changed power?

Hi Troy That's good to see you are embracing your hobby, that will be stimulating. I don't use siiril but a member put together a guide for use maybe this is of interest. http://download.startools.org/Siril%20with%20Sirilic.pdf What version of StarTools are you using? Re: deconvolution
Have you tried increasing the dedicated harddisk space to be used as additional RAM?
My dual core PC has 6GB ram increased to 16GB through giving it dedicated RAM expansion space on the disk.
I haven't used deconcolution in 1.6x yet but had been using it before.

Re: Gray Halo Around Stars
That's a tidier process.
Re filter I was wondering if the Ha was through using a filter and that had reflection issues and was causing the bloating on bright stars if it was every imaging session.

Re: Gray Halo Around Stars
Perhaps that night's seeing was bad when you took the image if other bright stars on other nights are not doing the bloat.
Maybe some of the chromatic aberration tweaks would help.

Re: color
I just learnt one of the draw backs of liking to use bleeding edge, DSS 4.2.3 beta 2 has just expired, oh well, I wait for the next beta version and go back to using 4.2.2 and will have to wait a bit longer to use the new 'no white balance processing'
