finally hooked up to my scope (ES102) with non modified DSLR As it was not guided, I have only 15 sec duration images (i think 80 or so) with darks, bias and flats. here is my first attempt. I guess a better question would be when processing a wide field (like Milky Way) would you use any mask? I would think since it is a star field without any particular roi I would use either? Or would I choose nebulositty/Milky Way as the roi? Btw my iMac seems to work well as long as image is correc...

Ok. when applying a mask for wide field images do you just apply a full mask? Star Mask? Do you define ROI?

I have vixen polarie that tracks. Maybe between images I should stop it for a few second and turn it back on. May really mess up polar alignment by the end though how are you stacking in PI? Hi, Here is a reprocess of the 2nd set of data you have provided, I am not sure what to make of it as I am not familliar with PI but the stack was really green. I have done a quick clean up job and here is the result. In StarTools if your image is green once you do the colour module just cap green ...

I am looking at a new computer and jumping to Mac for several reasons. It appeared older ST versions had some issues with the mac OS. Is this still the case?

Hmm since Im not guiding and just using lens, I guess i can manually bump the camera a little over between images
