Hi, for APP files it works correctly. FITS data is showing total integration time as "EXPosure time", while I think Siril's labelling makes more sense, there doesn't seem to be any Lifetime parameter available in APP files. Not sure about DSS, PI etc.
Clear Skies,
Jochen

Re: Wipe gradient not working
Hi Jack, apart from Ivo's and Mike's advice (increasing Aggressiveness) You could try the following: - Increase precision to 128 x 128 px - Dial in some Gradient falloff (10-30%) and increase - Set Dark Anomaly Filter to at least 3-5 px - Play around with the gradient edge behaviour options Clearly ...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview
such that it is hard to tell what is IN and what is OUT, in order to then apply blue boxing Hi Mike, the good thing about 1.9 is you actually don't have to worry about IN/ OUT or any sample size box, as this is what the jigsaw puzzle does. If I got the release notes correctly, the PSF "mask" algori...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview
I'm not sure what it is looking for, but it seemed it could be biased a little too small, so it never white-circled a number of stars I thought would be good candidates, and I just had a ton of outlined junk stars. Hi, I have also noticed that, Mike. Some candidates seemed pretty green to me, yet g...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview
Hi Dietmar, Please try 10-13 iterations, some highlight headroom 1.05, Resampling & Centroid Tracking, Deringing around 30% and crank up theSpatial error and use some of the deformed stars as samples (in each corner the shape might be different... For me, it changes the star shape. Values around "Eu...

Re: HDR Tame: Default Value 'Gamma Highlights (Tame)'
Hi Dietmar, I could reproduce both Tame and shattered glass effects. I agree some HDR results are a bit personal taste, it is so powerful it's easy to overprocess. I assume HDR will perform very differently, depending on focal length / pixel pitch ratio and/or subject and also on global stretch prio...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview
Thanks Ivo for the background... I tried Pi, 0, 1, sqrt(2) and some of the most important physical constants (don't know where to place the units?! ;) ) as well, but they all have one thing in common: nothing happens. Maybe my PSF samples are not distorted enough ... ? Wow, Dietmar, :thumbsu...

Re: HDR Tame: Default Value 'Gamma Highlights (Tame)'
Hi Dietmar, no You're surely not the only one.... I'm sure it's all good math performed on the data, but to connect that with visible results is the challenge we are facing I am also reducing this default to below gamma 1.1 (usually between 1.03 and 1.07). But please note, those effects like demo'ed...

Re: StarTools 1.9 preview
Hi Ivo,
thanks for public 1.9 alpha!
I'm just wondering about the "Euler" setting in SVDecon - any mathematical background to e for Decon or could it just as well be Pi?
Clear Skies,
Jochen
