LRGB filters recommendation
Hi all, Sorry if this forum is not the most appropriate to ask this. I'm (still...) planning to buy a mono cam (a QHY294m pro, in particular) and the corresponding filter wheel (QHYCFW3-M US, 36mm, unmounted) and filters. I have many doubts about these ones. I wish to still use Startools for my proc...

Re: Fringe killer usage
OMG, I don't know how could I miss my own post!!! shame on me!!! very sorry guys!!! thanks for your replies! I've tried your workaround, but does not seem to work for me. Or maybe I don't know how to implement them. Using a mask is quite tricky for me. There are many stars that suffer from this aber...

Re: Difference between binning and resizing
Thanks for the reply.
Technical and logically, is there any difference in the process itself?

Difference between binning and resizing
Hi all,
I repeat the same question I did in another forum.
I don't know still the difference between binning an image with startools and resize it with a classical image processor, given that I finally got the same scale/resolution on both cases.
Thanks!

Re: Narrowbanding with an osc
Thanks for the reply, Ivo. Yes, I agree, but nowadays cannot afford a new-brand mono cam and all the components. I have to re-think it again. Thanks!

Narrowbanding with an osc
Hi all, Sorry if I'm not posting in the correct sub-forum. I've been thinking for a couple of months about upgrading my dslr and jump to a dedicated camera. First doubt is the eternal question about choosing mono or color cam. Cost and available imaging time are the main cons to choose a mono one, b...

Fringe killer usage
Hi all,
I'm trying to remove chromatic aberration from some stars. Fringe killer works nice but leaves a grayish background color where I apply the filter:
before: after: any tips?

Re: Good flats?
Well, actually my problem is that I don't know how to take flats with this filter. I was told that good flats should have an equilibrated histogram, quite centered. Without filter I managed to get that. But with the filter the channels are quite separated so I don't know how to center them in the hi...

Re: Good flats?
Hi guys,
I would like to take the opportunity and ask about how are you taking flats with l-enhance. Mine shows an histogram with the channels quite separated:
is this normal?
